The Oklahoma State Fair is celebrating 100 years of Route 66 with a theme of ‘The Midway of the Mother Road’. This year’s fair will feature several new attractions, including the America 250 Wheel, a pirate-themed comedy show, and live wrestling.
New Attractions
The America 250 Wheel is the world’s largest portable observation wheel, standing at 230 feet tall. The wheel’s 45 gondolas include fun facts about the nation’s 45 presidents. Other new attractions include the Ultimate Bullfighters event, Wildcatters vs. The World bull riding competition, and the YO HO HO! Hypnosis Show.
The fair will also feature various exhibits and competitions, such as the Route 66 Family Fun Zone, Commodities Presentations, and the Oklahoma Horizon Horse Show. Additionally, there will be special events like Film Friday, Route 66 Centennial Salute & Parade, and Family Fun Day.
Entertainment and Competitions
The fair will offer a range of entertainment options, including live music, comedy shows, and animal exhibits. Visitors can also participate in various competitions, such as the Stitch in Time needlepoint contest, the Wrapped in Courage Contest, and the Cinn-OH Man! Rolls contest.
