Three people in Oklahoma have been indicted as part of a nationwide health care fraud investigation involving nearly 500 individuals, including dozens of doctors.
Details of the Indictments
In one case, two men from Lawton were indicted for allegedly claiming to provide CPAP machines for clients with sleep apnea but instead pocketed $27 million in reimbursements from Tricare. The U.S. Justice Department said the men either did not provide the machines or were not qualified to provide them.
In another case, a speech-language pathologist in Oklahoma City is accused of making over $2.5 million in fraudulent claims.
