An Oklahoma man and his family are traveling across the US to attend World Cup games, combining their love for soccer with meaningful family experiences. Johnny Chain and his family are on a road trip this summer to attend World Cup games, creating lifelong memories along the way.
A Passion for Soccer
Chain’s love for soccer began in his hometown of Oklahoma City, where he graduated from Carl Albert High School. He now shares his passion for the sport with his children, coaching high school and club soccer teams.
The Chain family’s road map this summer started in Kansas City, Missouri, and has taken them through Florida, New Orleans, Dallas, Flagstaff, San Jose, and San Francisco. Their next stop is Seattle, where they plan to attend Monday’s game against Belgium.
For Chain, these trips are about more than just soccer. ‘These big long road trips to me are what life is all about and the time we can spend together as a family,’ he said. The experience they spend together now are experiences for a lifetime, creating generations of love and understanding what life is about.
