A man was fatally shot at an Oklahoma City hotel after accusing another man of flirting with his wife. The incident occurred last Thursday night, and the victim, Myron Cooper, attempted to drive himself to the hospital but stopped on Interstate 235 near NE 16th Street, where traffic camera footage captured the scene.

Investigation Underway

According to court documents, Cooper was angry with Berry Russell Jr., the man who admitted to shooting him, after believing Russell had flirted with Cooper’s wife at a bar inside the hotel. Russell claimed self-defense and said he tried to avoid Cooper but was attacked again when he attempted to leave. Russell then shot Cooper in the chest and called 911, admitting to pulling the trigger.

Russell was arrested and is facing charges of first-degree murder, though he has not yet been officially charged. The investigation is ongoing, and more information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
