An 18-year-old firefighter from Blanchester, Ohio, has died after a motorcycle crash in Clermont County. The crash occurred on State Route 131 near Dry Run Road when the motorcyclist, identified as Wyatt Fisher, struck a 2017 Ford Escape from behind that was slowed in traffic.
The collision caused Fisher to travel left of center and hit another vehicle, a Volkswagen Routan, that was stopped in traffic in the westbound lanes of the roadway. Fisher was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Fisher was a firefighter with the Stonelick Township Fire Department and a cadet with Wayne Township Fire and EMS. He was also a graduate from Clermont Northeastern schools, where he had recently become an assistant coach for the boys soccer team.
The Stonelick Township Fire Department shared a statement mourning his loss, saying, ‘Wyatt’s unexpected passing has left an immeasurable void within our department and throughout the community he so proudly served.’ The department described Fisher as someone who ‘exemplified what it meant to serve others’ and carried himself with ‘compassion, humility, and dedication.’
