Ocala’s 14U boys flag football team, the ‘Juice Bucs,’ won a national championship in Westfield, Indiana, on Sunday afternoon. The team, coached by Nyl Davis, defeated the 14U team from New York City 33-21 in the championship game.
Drake Eason was named Most Valuable Player, throwing two touchdowns and adding a pick-six on the defensive side of the ball. According to the NFL Flag website, approximately 300 teams and 3,000 boys and girls participated in the event.
