The Obama Presidential Center in Woodlawn has announced that it will release more tickets next month. The tickets will be for visits from September 2026 through January 2027. Tickets will be available to the general public on July 8; founding members of the Obama Foundation will have presale access starting July 1.
Public interest in attending the Obama Center, 6001 S. Stony Island Ave. in Woodlawn, surged after its star-studded opening ceremony on Juneteenth. The museum is the only ticketed area on the campus. Its outdoor spaces and the library are free and open to the public.
Upcoming public events at the Obama Center include a celebration on the John Lewis Plaza on July 4, House Music on the Plaza on July 10 and a Garden Gathering event at the Fruit & Vegetable Garden on July 12.
Valerie Jarrett, CEO of The Obama Foundation, said in a statement, “The overwhelming interest we’ve seen since opening our doors is a powerful reminder of how much people are looking for spaces that bring us closer together.”
Museum Admission tickets are available on a timed entry basis and include access to all four levels of the Museum, the Oval Office and the Sky Room. Prices may vary depending on the day of the week. Admission on Illinois Free Days will be available.
