A certified nursing assistant at an assisted-living facility in Orange County is accused of using a resident’s debit card to make over $1,600 in unauthorized transactions. Sabine Perrin, 56, faces charges of theft and fraudulent use of credit cards.
Investigation Details
According to the sheriff’s office, a 75-year-old resident reported his debit card missing and unauthorized transactions totaling $1,800. Investigators obtained a transaction statement showing the card was used for ATM withdrawals at TD Bank, Publix, and Walgreens.
Perrin was identified as the owner of an SUV seen in surveillance video of the TD Bank withdrawals. When questioned, Perrin said she didn’t know how she ended up with the resident’s card and apologized.
Perrin’s arrest warrant was executed on June 8, and she has since posted a $12,500 bond.
