Northern Kentucky University has named Mike Odom as its new vice president and director of athletics. Odom will begin his tenure on August 3, coming to Highland Heights after serving as deputy athletic director for external operations at Creighton University.
Background and Experience
Odom has also held leadership positions in athletic administration at North Carolina State University and Wake Forest University. He expressed his excitement to work with the university’s coaches, staff, and student-athletes to pursue excellence in every aspect of the collegiate experience.
Odom’s hiring follows the university’s former director of athletics, Christina Roybal, choosing not to seek a contract extension and pursuing other opportunities.
