Northeast Wisconsin is well-represented in the WIAA state football records. Several area teams have advanced to the championship games, with some teams making it to the title game multiple times.
Area Teams’ Records
Appleton West has made it to the championship game 3 times, while Ashwaubenon has done so 6 times. Bay Port and Brillion have also had success, with 3 and 4 appearances, respectively.
Other area teams, such as Clintonville, Coleman, and Denmark, have also made it to the championship game. De Pere, Fox Valley Lutheran, and Hilbert have each appeared in the title game at least once.
Kewaunee and Kimberly have been particularly successful, with 5 and 10 appearances, respectively. Little Chute, Luxemburg-Casco, and Marinette have also made it to the championship game.
Notre Dame and Oconto Falls have each appeared in the title game 6 and 3 times, respectively. Peshtigo, Pulaski, and Reedsville have each made it to the championship game at least once.
Southern Door, Sturgeon Bay, and Waupaca have also had success, with 1, 2, and 5 appearances, respectively. West De Pere and Wrightstown have each appeared in the title game 6 and 5 times, respectively.
The high school with the most state football titles is Stratford, with 10. St. Mary’s Springs and Edgar are tied for second, with 9 titles each.
