Northeast Wisconsin is about to experience its warmest weather of the year. Extreme Heat Watches have already been issued along and south of Highway 29 and inland of Interstate 43.
Heat-Related Risks
Highs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday could range from 90 to 95 degrees. Combined with dew points that will push into the 70s at times, we could see heat index readings over 100 each afternoon. Heat-related risks like heat exhaustion and heat stroke become much more likely under these conditions.
To stay safe, make sure you are drinking plenty of water, wear light and loose-fitting clothing, avoid layers, and take lots of breaks if you do have to be outside.
