Ryan Fitzpatrick, the NFL record-holder for starting for nine separate teams, recently reflected on his journeyman career. Fitzpatrick had always hoped to stay with one team for his entire career, but it didn’t work out that way.
A Career of Movement
Instead, Fitzpatrick played for the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, Cincinnati Bengals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, St. Louis Rams, Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and Washington Commanders. Despite the constant movement, Fitzpatrick said he wouldn’t change his career for the world.
Fitzpatrick enjoyed being on the field and playing, which led him to keep moving from team to team. He cherished the relationships he built with his teammates, neighbors, and friends in each city. These relationships have helped Fitzpatrick off the field, including his participation in the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe.
