NFIB, the state’s leading small business association, announced that its Michigan PAC has released endorsements for candidates running for reelection in state Senate and House races in 2026.
Supporting Small Businesses
According to Amanda Fisher, NFIB Michigan State Director, the onslaught of anti-small business policies proposed and passed since the 2023-24 state legislature has made electing pro-small business candidates even more critical than in years past. “Small businesses employ half of all employees in Michigan and are integral to the state’s economic health. It is imperative that we have lawmakers who are laser-focused on rolling back harmful regulations and mandates on small businesses and reigning in out-of-control government expansion and spending to ensure Main Street survives,” Fisher said.
The NFIB Michigan PAC endorsement is important to legislative candidates due to the impact small business owners have in our state and country. State legislative endorsements are decided by the NFIB MI PAC Board, which is made up exclusively of small business owners. Legislative endorsements, where there is an incumbent, are based on NFIB’s 2025-26 Voting Record. Legislators must have a score of 70% or better to be considered for an endorsement.
