Newcastle High School seniors gathered on the football field before class started for their annual senior sunrise tradition. The event, which began at 5 a.m., marked the last first day of school for the class of seniors.
A Newcastle High School student expressed excitement about the role the senior class will play in the community, saying, “We’ll do everything for the senior class, and we’re really excited to have that role for our class and our community because it’s like closing out the end and, like, we’ve said again and again, but we’ve known these people for literally years. It’s crazy, like, closing out this part of our lives and just moving on.”
