A new 24/7 veterinary emergency room, VEG ER for Pets, has opened in St. Matthews off Shelbyville Road in Louisville. This is their first location to open in Kentucky.
Unique Features
The animal hospital allows people to stay with their animals through each part of treatment, even during overnight stays, featuring a space for pet parents to rest. According to Dr. Kathryn Mehfoud, medical director at the Louisville location, it’s essential for owners to be with their pets as it helps in the recovery process.
The building features an open-floor plan, allowing for triage the minute you step through the door. Patrons can also call and directly speak to a licensed veterinarian before they reach the hospital. VEG ER for Pets cares for all sorts of animals, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and even exotic pets, providing a range of medical treatment including surgeries, ultrasounds, x-rays, and more.
