Ronald McDonald House Atlanta’s new $81 million facility on the campus of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Arthur M. Blank Hospital is already operating at capacity, serving families who travel more than 50 miles to Atlanta for their children’s medical care.
A Place for Healing and Comfort
The five-story house has 110 rooms, including 92 guest rooms for families of hospitalized children and 18 transplant suites designed for children recovering from bone marrow or solid organ transplants.
The new facility is intentionally designed to support families’ emotional well-being and day-to-day needs, with community gathering spaces, a wellness room, family and chef’s kitchens, an expansive dining room, family lounges, a discovery garden, and multiple indoor and outdoor play areas.
According to Tracey B. Atwater, president and CEO of Ronald McDonald House Atlanta, the organization is committed to meeting families where they are and providing them with the support they need during difficult times.
Ronald McDonald House Atlanta relies on philanthropy, corporate partners, and individual donors to support its operations, with only about 20% of its operating support coming from McDonald’s.
