New Mexico’s annual tax-free holiday weekend is approaching, giving families the chance to save as kids head back to school. The tax holiday begins on July 31 and will continue through August 2.
Eligible Items
Many back-to-school items will be tax-free during that time, including shoes or clothing priced below $100 per unit, desktop computers, laptop computers, and tablet & notebook computers up to $1,000, computer hardware up to $500, and school supplies used in standard, general education classrooms must be under $30 per item.
