Nearly seven weeks after Brooke Hanlon, 35, was fatally stabbed inside her Chester, New Jersey home, people living just feet away from the Hanlon home are constantly looking over their shoulders.
Investigation Ongoing
The investigation into Brooke’s death is ongoing, with no information released about a possible suspect or person of interest. Neighbors have been communicating with one another more frequently following Brooke’s death, and some have expressed concerns about their safety.
A white Volvo SUV possibly belonging to Brooke Hanlon’s husband, Conor, was seen parked outside the home for more than four hours last week before driving away, neighbors said. This sighting marked the first time neighbors had seen the SUV at the Chester home since it was previously observed in Boston, where Conor Hanlon grew up and has family.
Without an arrest or any information about a suspect or person of interest on the loose, one neighbor, a gun owner, said he’s ready to defend his family should the time come. The lack of transparency in the investigation has left neighbors feeling uneasy, with one saying, ‘The lack of transparency is a little bit unnerving at this point.’
