Fountain Square has a new cultural lounge that aims to promote limitless creativity and community building. The lounge, called Untitled…, is the brainchild of Kwesi R’Mani, who hopes to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for artists and community members.
Community Focus
R’Mani’s vision for Untitled… is to create a space where people can express themselves freely and connect with others. The lounge will feature a cafe during the day and a lounge at night, with events such as open mics, art shows, and music recording sessions.
The lounge is located in a former horse and carriage factory at 1028 Shelby St, and R’Mani has remodeled and painted the space to create an inclusive atmosphere. He hopes to nurture an atmosphere that jumpstarts creativity and community building, and to provide a platform for artists and community members to showcase their talents.
Local Impact
Untitled… is not just a cultural lounge, but also a space that aims to promote community connection and social change. R’Mani hopes to use the lounge as a platform to document the history of the community and to provide a space for people to express themselves and connect with others.
The lounge has already hosted several events, including a Juneteenth celebration, which featured music, games, and a film highlighting Black joy. The event was well-attended, and R’Mani hopes to continue to host events that promote community building and social change.
