New Businesses Open and Announce Plans in South Frisco

South Frisco is experiencing a wave of business activity with several new openings and upcoming launches. This growth is contributing to the local economy and providing residents with diverse options for dining and shopping.

Recent Openings

CaratLane, an India-based fine jewelry brand, has opened its second U.S. location in Frisco. The store, located at 2809 Preston Road, offers a variety of rings, earrings, bracelets, and pendants.

Robo Shawarma, located at 7875 Custer Road, began serving freshly carved shawarma wraps and plates on May 19, adding to the local culinary scene.

Upcoming Openings

33 Peaks Café is set to open this summer at the Shops at Starwood, offering coffee, cold drinks, pastries, and more. This will be the café’s second location in the metroplex.

Kids United, a facility offering indoor turf and practice equipment for children, is scheduled to open on May 30 at 615 Main St. It will include a waiting area for parents, making it a family-friendly addition to the community.

Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt plans to start construction in August at 2484 Stonebrook Parkway, offering self-serve yogurt with a variety of flavors and toppings.

Sourdough & Co. will bring its sandwiches, flatbreads, and soups to 3311 Preston Road this fall, expanding dining options in the area.

Sushi Sakana, known for its fresh sushi and signature dishes, is projected to open in September at 3245 Main St.

Sweet Stacks, offering a mix of Thai and American flavors, will open in June at 252 W. Stonebrook Parkway, featuring dishes like soufflé pancakes and Thai noodle dishes.

Crab & Claw, a seafood restaurant, plans a tentative opening in December at 2626 Stonebrook Parkway, serving southern seafood favorites.

Recent Closures

Uncle Julio’s, located at 2401 Preston Road, closed on May 13 due to lease-related circumstances. The restaurant had been a local favorite since April 2024, known for its diverse menu including fish tacos and carne asada.
