Fauci’s Diary Entries
Recently, Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul released over 1,100 pages of COVID-19 czar Dr. Anthony Fauci’s personal diary. The diary entries reveal Fauci’s early admission that COVID did not emerge from the Wuhan wet markets, despite his later denouncement of the lab-leak thesis as a conspiracy theory. The entries also show Fauci’s fawning friendships with TV anchors and hosts, including ABC’s George Stephanopoulos and CNN’s Jake Tapper.
The networks initially avoided covering the Fauci hearing, but when they did, they presented it as a partisan attack on Fauci. ABC reporter Jay O’Brien fretted about the hearing being a “fiery” one for the 85-year-old Fauci, while CBS’s Dr. Celine Gounder claimed Fauci never had authority to close the country down, despite Fauci’s own boasts about his influence.
