A Nebraska State Trooper was struck by a car on Interstate 80 near North Platte, Nebraska, on August 13. The trooper was inside his vehicle, directing traffic into the passing lane due to a previous crash near mile marker 187.
The Buick Enclave that struck the trooper’s vehicle came to rest in the median. The trooper was taken to the hospital, treated for minor injuries, and released. The driver of the Buick was cited for failure to move over for an emergency vehicle, open alcohol container, no registration, and no insurance.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
