The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a low-pressure system in eastern Mexico with a 20% chance of development over the next seven days. The system is currently producing disorganized shower and thunderstorm activity.
According to the National Hurricane Center, development is not expected during the next day or so while the low remains inland over northeastern Mexico or southern Texas. However, the system could re-emerge over the northwestern Gulf of America around midweek, interacting with a frontal boundary, but conditions are expected to be only marginally conducive for development.
