While recording new material, including the singles “Keeping the Faith” and “Just in Case,” Waldrup says she slept with her Bible each night and began each morning by reading scripture.

“My faith definitely carried me through that season,” Waldrup told Fox News Digital. “I was very vulnerable, but the Bible and prayer gave me strength to keep moving forward.” She explained that the bridge in her song “Keeping the Faith” reflects that conviction: “There’s a reason I’m still standing here stronger than I ever knew.”

Waldrup also highlighted the role of a small, trusted group of five people—including God—who offered encouragement without judgment. “When you’re going through something tough, it helps to limit the opinions you hear to those who truly lift you up,” she said.
New music inspired by hardship
Despite the emotional strain, Waldrup says the experience enriched her songwriting. “I think the song came out great because of the brokenness,” she noted, pointing to the raw vocal delivery that conveys both desperation and hope. The track is part of her upcoming release slated for September 18.
