Three separate $100,000 grants were awarded under the Resilient Families program, which helps provide parent education, improve child development, and strengthen family resilience. The grants focus on preventing child abuse, physical and sexual. Harmony House will launch Next Gen Prevention, an education program for youth that focuses on preventing violence in romantic relationships. The Child Advocacy Center will expand its Protecting Our Youth program, which encourages prevention of child physical and sexual abuse. FosterAdopt Connect will expand and boost prevention of child abuse to keep children safely in homes and out of foster care.
Each grant is eligible for renewal over three years, with a total potential award of $840,000. Other grants were awarded in the Keys to Housing program, which emphasizes finding homes for people in need, and the Opportunities to Thrive program, which focuses on grants to help organizations build themselves in the wake of the pandemic.
