The 2026 Mubadala Citi Open, a combined Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) event, was held at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in Rock Creek Park from July 25 to August 3.
Tournament Overview
The tournament, which is the fourth-longest-running pro tennis event in the U.S. and the longest-running tournament in a public park, featured top players from around the world, including Taylor Fritz, who emerged victorious.
In addition to the action on the court, the 2026 Mubadala Citi Open also honored former District First Lady Cora Masters Barry, founder and executive director of the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center, as one of the “Heroes of the Game” for her decades of creating opportunities for District youth on and off the court.
