A driver is in custody after a police chase in Montgomery ended in a wreck, with a passenger suffering life-threatening injuries.
According to Lt. Tina McGriff, Montgomery police attempted to stop a vehicle near Gaston Avenue and Upchurch Circle. The driver refused to stop, leading officers on a brief chase that ended when the vehicle crashed in the area of South Court Street.
After a short foot chase, the driver was taken into custody, with charges pending. The passenger was taken to a hospital for treatment.
