Mobile Home Park Industry Fuels Warren Petersen’s AG Campaign in Arizona

Arizona’s 2026 Attorney General race has taken on a new financial dimension as fifteen mobile home park management firms and owners have collectively donated almost $700,000 to Restore Order Arizona PAC, the political committee supporting Republican Warren Petersen. The contributions, disclosed through the Secretary of State’s campaign‑finance portal, represent 49% of the PAC’s total funding in the first two quarters of 2026.

Key donors and amounts

The largest single donor, BoaVida Communities LLC, contributed roughly $600,000 over six months. Other contributors include Comfort Communities, Leisure Village, Arbor Manor LLC, HoHokam Mobile Village, Kon Tiki Mobile Home Park, Arizuma Country Estates, Park Brokerage & Commercial Real Estate, Park Paradise LLC, Casa Loma Mobile Home Park LLC, Havenpark Management, Adobe Mobile Home and RV Park, and Keith Management LLC.

Petersen’s response to criticism

During a Clean Elections debate, Democratic AG candidate Kris Mayes alleged that the donations enabled Petersen’s campaign. Petersen rebutted sharply, stating, “This is disturbing — a lie from Kris Mayes, someone who should understand campaign finance law, saying I accepted money that I did not accept. It went to an independent expenditure that I have no control over.”

Legal backdrop

Mayes’ office sued BoaVida over alleged unsafe electrical conditions at Redwood Mobile Home Park in Tucson during the 2025 heat wave. BoaVida defended itself, noting the park’s wiring dates to 1962 and complies with the standards of that era. The case remains in the discovery phase.

Campaign implications

Petersen’s campaign manager, Chad LeBeau, framed the donations as evidence of a business‑friendly candidate who will enforce the rule of law without fear or favor. “Under Warren Petersen, the Attorney General’s Office will answer to the rule of law, not a donor list, and anyone who breaks it will be prosecuted without exception,” LeBeau said.

Mayes’ fundraising and policy record

Mayes’ own candidate committee has raised $6 million, with notable contributions from education, financial trading, and horse‑breeding sectors. Her office has pursued actions against companies such as Dollar General for alleged overcharging, Roblox for child‑safety concerns, and OpenAI for purported deceptive practices.

Other PAC activity

Friends of Warren Petersen benefited from $668,572.20 in independent expenditures, including support from the National Rifle Association and Arizona Farm Bureau. Conversely, the Planned Parenthood Action Fund spent $78,713.04 against Petersen, while Kris Mayes for Arizona received $459,723.65 in supportive spending, including a gun‑safety PAC and Planned Parenthood.

What this means for Arizona voters

The influx of mobile home park industry money underscores the growing influence of property‑management interests in state politics. Supporters argue that Petersen’s platform—defending traditional values, opposing federal vaccine mandates, and requiring proof of citizenship for voting—aligns with constitutional principles and family stability. Critics warn that heavy industry funding could sway policy priorities.

As the race heads toward the November ballot, Arizona voters will weigh both the financial backing and the policy positions of the two candidates, with the mobile home park sector emerging as a significant player in the state’s political landscape.
