Gleyber Torres homered and drove in five runs as the host Detroit Tigers scored in every inning they batted in a 14-0 rout of the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday.
Tigers’ Offense Explodes
Eduardo Valencia, recalled from Triple-A Toledo earlier in the series, hit a pair of homers among four hits and drove in four runs as the Tigers snapped a three-game losing streak. Kevin McGonigle had four hits, scored four runs and drove in another.
Colt Keith reached base four times and knocked in two runs. Javier Baez, activated off the 60-day injured list, added three hits and scored a run as the Tigers rang up 19 hits to Baltimore’s three.
