A plane carrying 12 people crashed Sunday morning near Butler Memorial Airport in Butler, Missouri, with all on board presumed dead, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, along with the Butler Police Department and Bates County Sheriff’s Office, are on the scene. Business Interstate 49 has been shut down in both directions due to the incident.
A video from the scene shows smoke emerging from the wreckage in a field. The Federal Aviation Administration has not yet commented on the crash.
