Gracie, a 3-year-old giraffe, has been found in Real County, Texas, after being missing for nearly two weeks. The giraffe was located by Vick Jones at approximately 7:30 a.m. during an aerial search, nearly four miles south of Jones’ Cedar Hollow Ranch.
Gracie had escaped her enclosure at Cedar Hollow Ranch and had been the subject of a search effort. Jones, the owner of the ranch, had been searching for Gracie and was relieved to have found her.
According to the Real County Sheriff’s Office, Gracie is on her way home and a team is being put together to safely capture her and bring her back to the ranch.
