Missing 13 Year Old Girl

The Winter Haven Police Department is searching for a missing 13-year-old girl considered to be endangered. Janiyah Bright has not been seen since approximately 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to investigators, Janiyah left her home on Cloverdale Road following a verbal altercation with her mother. Police noted that the teenager made “extremely disturbing comments” about harming herself, raising severe concerns for her safety.

Detectives believe Janiyah was picked up by a vehicle and driven to Lakeland, where she was dropped off near the intersection of Skyview and Fairway Avenue.

Janiyah was last seen wearing a black crop top and blue-and-yellow pajama-style pants. Local authorities are asking anyone who spots Janiyah or has any information regarding her current whereabouts to dial 9-1-1 immediately.
