Miles Robinson, a player for FC Cincinnati, is living his dream of playing in the World Cup. His journey from a young soccer player in Massachusetts to the World Cup is a testament to his dedication and passion for the sport.
Early Beginnings
Robinson’s love for soccer started at a young age. His parents, Jane and Jeff, recall how he would wear his soccer cleats everywhere, even to daycare. “He was at daycare and he wouldn’t take the cleats off. The daycare provider had to call Jeff and have him come over so he wouldn’t take the cleats off,” Jane said.
As Robinson grew older, his talent for soccer became more apparent. He played in youth leagues, then moved on to Syracuse University, Atlanta United, and eventually FC Cincinnati.
World Cup Dreams
Now, Robinson is achieving a dream his family never imagined: playing in the World Cup. “It’s been an otherworldly experience to see him on the team,” Jeff said. Although Robinson’s spot on the team wasn’t guaranteed, he made the cut and has been playing well.
His parents are traveling the country to cheer him on. “It’s been a lot of fun. It was great that he started that third game and played the whole 90 minutes. We were really excited about that,” Jane said.
