Children in Ada, Boise, Canyon, Elmore, and Gem counties will receive a $250 seed deposit from Micron into their 530A account, also known as a Trump Account. Children of Micron employees will receive $1,000. This investment is part of Micron’s local higher education investments, which include an apprenticeship program at the College of Western Idaho and a significant gift to the college for its Micron Academic Center.
The announcement comes ahead of America’s 250th birthday and demonstrates Micron’s commitment to the local community. The company has recently surpassed $1 trillion market value and is expected to bring a $50 billion investment to its fabrication plants in Boise in the coming months.
