The Miami Dolphins announced that Tom Garfinkel will relinquish his role as the team’s president and chief executive officer. Garfinkel was the Dolphins’ president and CEO for 13 years.
Garfinkel’s Statement
Garfinkel said in a statement, ‘I love the Dolphins and the people here, but after 13 years it was just the right time for me to make this decision.’ He will remain part of the organization as vice chairman of the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium and managing partner of the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix auto race.
The Dolphins said that team Chairman and Owner Stephen M. Ross named Daniel Sillman as Chief Executive Officer of Ross Sports & Entertainment. Ross also announced that Ross Sports & Entertainment will bring the Miami Dolphins, Hard Rock Stadium, the Miami Grand Prix, the Miami Open tennis tournament and the Precision Drive Club into one entity.
