Miami-Dade County election officials are conducting a Logic and Accuracy test of voting equipment and auditing systems. The test is designed to ensure every ballot is counted correctly, making the election process secure and transparent.

Testing the Voting Process

During the test, elections personnel cast test ballots using a predetermined set of results, allowing staff to verify that the equipment correctly captures and reports each vote. They then review the results to confirm they match the expected outcomes.

"Transparency is critical to maintaining public confidence in our elections," said Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia. "Logic and Accuracy testing gives the public an opportunity to see firsthand the careful steps we take to ensure our equipment is working properly, our results are accurate, and the integrity of our elections remains our highest priority."

Early voting begins August 3 in Miami-Dade and August 8 in Broward, and will end August 16 in both counties, two days before Election Day.
