The Dallas Mavericks announced Sunday that they signed forward Naji Marshall to a multi-year contract extension, keeping one of their most versatile contributors in place following his best NBA season.
Marshall, 28, established career highs with 15.2 points, 3.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 29.5 minutes per game last season. He shot 51% from the field while appearing in 74 games, including 47 starts, and added 4.7 rebounds per contest.
Mavericks president Masai Ujiri said in a statement, “Naji has earned this opportunity through the way he approaches the game every day. He is a competitive player who impacts winning in a variety of ways. His versatility, toughness and willingness to embrace every challenge make him an important part of what we’re building.”
