A Massachusetts State Police trooper has died of injuries suffered in an off-duty motorcycle crash in Grafton, the agency announced Monday morning. Trooper Jacob Mick, 31, a native of Northborough, was a 2023 graduate of the Massachusetts State Police Academy.

Massachusetts State Police Col. Geoffrey Noble expressed condolences to the family of Trooper Mick, saying, “Together, we mourn Trooper Jacob Mick, and extend our deepest sympathies to his wife, their infant daughter, his family, and all who loved him. He was a proud Trooper and public servant who never hesitated to answer the call.” The crash remains under investigation by the Worcester District Attorney’s Office.
