Allegations of Medical Malpractice

Clancy and her husband claim that the doctors who treated her misdiagnosed and overmedicated her, causing her to hallucinate voices telling her to kill her kids. They have filed lawsuits against several medical professionals and institutions, alleging medical malpractice and negligence.

According to the lawsuit, Clancy began showing signs of hypomania soon after giving birth to Callan in May 2022. Her condition allegedly worsened over time, with symptoms including severe anxiety, depression, exhaustion, and insomnia. Despite seeking treatment, Clancy’s condition continued to deteriorate, with her experiencing hallucinations and suicidal thoughts.

The lawsuit claims that Clancy’s medical providers failed to properly diagnose and treat her condition, instead prescribing a series of medications that allegedly worsened her symptoms. Clancy’s husband, Patrick, allegedly contacted her medical providers to report her worsening condition, but they failed to take adequate action.

On January 24, 2023, Clancy allegedly strangled her three children and attempted to take her own life. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges against her.
