Mason, Ohio, is gearing up for its annual 4th of July celebration, Red, Rhythm and Boom. The event, which takes months of planning, will feature live music, a kids’ zone, food trucks, and a drone show, culminating in a fireworks display at 10 p.m.
Heat Safety a Top Priority
With high temperatures expected, organizers are urging attendees to prepare for the heat. ‘The heat exacerbates any sort of medical emergency or medical conditions,’ said Nate Wyatt, Deputy Chief with the Mason Fire Department. ‘We’d ask people to hydrate before the event. If you’re not feeling great at the event, you can come to our municipal center and cool off. We have water, we have plenty of first aid tents, paramedics on scene should you need us.’
The kids’ zone will open at 4 p.m., with live entertainment starting at 6 p.m. Thousands of people are expected to attend, and organizers have planned for hydration areas, shade, and extra emergency crews to ensure a safe celebration for families.
