A Mason home invasion that prosecutors describe as terrifying and carefully planned is now at the center of a jury trial. Prosecutors say masked, armed men burst into a home on Hillary Lane in the early morning hours of Feb. 21, 2025, put a gun to a woman’s head and tore through the house looking for money.
Investigation and Charges
Photos shown in court revealed the aftermath inside the home, including a ransacked kitchen and other rooms left in disarray. The homeowner testified she was asleep when the intruders came into her bedroom.
Prosecutors say one of those suspects is Jonathan Garcia Ramirez, who is now on trial on charges of aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery. Jurors also saw video of Ramirez being questioned by Mason police after the crime.
During questioning, Ramirez denied any involvement, saying, ‘I know I wasn’t there. I don’t know what you guys are talking about. I don’t know what I’m arrested for.’ The trial continues Friday.
