Maryland is continuing its moratorium on some new mental health providers in certain parts of the state. The pause encompasses new provider signups for Medicaid for psychiatric rehabilitation programs, partial hospital programs, and intensive outpatient treatment programs related to mental health in ten jurisdictions, including Baltimore.
The moratorium will continue for the next six months and is an extension of a freeze that started in June of 2024.
