Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown is honoring a beloved resident with a custom-designed grave marker. The cemetery is paying tribute to Blossom the goose, who lived at Lake Woodmere in the cemetery for years and gained national fame during a search to find her a new companion.
Blossom was joined by Frankie the goose, and the two became a familiar sight in the cemetery. Unfortunately, Blossom was hit by a vehicle and died last October. The cemetery has now created a special grave marker in her memory, which was crafted by the Nevada Monument Company.
