Marshall, Texas – Piney Park has opened its doors for a family‑focused fall festival, offering a pumpkin patch, a spooky trail and several new photo‑op areas designed for all ages. “We want a place where families can come together and enjoy quality time,” said Brittany Simmons, Events and Field Trip Coordinator at Piney Park.
Festival attractions and schedule
The park’s pumpkin patch invites children and adults to pick their favorite gourds, while the spooky trail provides a safe, Halloween‑themed walk for those seeking a little thrill. Throughout the park, newly created themed zones serve as backdrops for family photos, encouraging visitors to capture memories of the season.
Trick‑or‑treat evenings are set for October 10, 17, 24 and 31, running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Each night, costumed volunteers hand out treats at designated stations, creating a festive atmosphere for kids strolling through the park.
Fall vendor market
In addition to the festival activities, Piney Park will host a fall vendor market on October 2, 3, 16 and 17. Local artisans, food trucks and small businesses will showcase seasonal goods, providing shoppers with unique gifts and holiday treats while supporting the Marshall economy.
Park hours and access
For regular visitors, Piney Park is open Wednesday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The park remains closed on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, giving staff time to maintain the grounds and prepare for upcoming events.
Community members are encouraged to spread the word and bring friends and family to enjoy the festivities. “Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where families can make lasting memories,” Simmons added.
Supporting local families
The fall festival aligns with Marshall’s broader effort to provide wholesome, family‑oriented activities that reinforce community bonds. By offering free or low‑cost entertainment, Piney Park helps families enjoy quality time together without the pressure of expensive outings.
