Tyler helped the Golden Eagles sweep both UConn and Providence on the road, posting a conference‑best 5.17 kills and 5.83 points per set. She hit .349 for the week, added 15 digs and four service aces, and was flawless in serve‑receive, going 21‑for‑21. Against UConn, Tyler recorded 13 kills, four digs and two aces, and she followed with a double‑double of 18 kills, 11 digs and two aces at Providence.

Markus directs the offense

Freshman setter Luanna Markus set the tone for Marquette’s flawless opening weekend, delivering a league‑leading 11.17 assists per set. In the UConn sweep, she logged 35 assists as the team hit .389, and she added 31 assists in the 3‑0 victory over Providence. Markus also contributed 12 digs, four kills, two blocks and an ace during the weekend.
