Miami Marlins first baseman/outfielder Kyle Stowers is back on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain. Stowers, 28, was placed on the IL on Tuesday, retroactive to Monday, while third baseman Graham Pauley was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move.
Stowers’ Injury
After hitting a two-run single in the fifth inning on Sunday, a limping Stowers was seen holding the back of his left leg. He exited the game with left hamstring discomfort. Stowers has been a solid contributor since June 1, hitting .256 with 13 home runs and 41 RBIs in 57 games.
Selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the second round of the 2019 draft, Stowers has played parts of five seasons with the Orioles (2022-24) and Marlins (2024-present) and has hit .249 with 47 homers and 160 RBIs in 328 games.
The Marlins entered play Tuesday 3 1/2 games back of the Philadelphia Phillies for the final National League wild-card spot.
