Cindependent, the new owners of the Mariemont Theatre, announced that they have reached their $1 million fundraising goal to reopen the historic venue. This milestone marks the completion of phase one of their goal, which will bring new projectors and audio equipment to the theatre, along with new screens and a popcorn machine.
Community Support
Cindependent board president Jack Crumley expressed gratitude for the community’s support, stating, “I’m so grateful for all the work done to galvanize the community and raise this support. We have a tremendous team of volunteers who’ve been helping us for months and a theatre committee that has been working tirelessly. It was an amazing team effort.”
The group will have a special giveaway for donors at the Mariemont Theatre on Saturday, Aug 15. They will also start listing jobs through LADD, which helps adults with disabilities. An official reopening date hasn’t been announced yet.
