The Toronto Maple Leafs have re-signed defenseman Troy Stecher with a two-year extension, the team announced Monday. The deal is worth an average annual value of $1.35 million.
Stecher, 32, scored three goals and had 11 assists (14 points) in 58 games with Toronto last season. He has played 624 NHL games with the Vancouver Canucks, Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, Arizona Coyotes, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, and Toronto.
Stecher, from Richmond, B.C., represented his homeland in the 2019 and 2021 IIHF World Hockey Championships, winning silver and gold, respectively.
