A man was taken to the hospital after being stabbed multiple times during a large fight in East Haven over the weekend, according to police.
Officers responded to Fiesta Bar & Grill on West Frontage Road around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday after receiving a report of a fight involving a large group of people.
As officers were responding, they said they learned multiple people were assaulting a single person. Once officers were in the area, they found the fight had spilled into the nearby Wendy’s parking lot.
Authorities said police found an adult male with multiple stab wounds and other injuries consistent with an assault. He was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
During the investigation, police said they established a perimeter, processed the scene, and recovered physical evidence including a knife. Detectives have also been able to get surveillance video from the area and are working to identify everyone involved.
