Rockville, Md. – Early Sunday morning, a fatal shooting occurred outside a popular bar and shopping center, leaving a local man dead and the community unsettled.
Incident details
Police say 33‑year‑old Nicholas Njuki of Gaithersburg was killed after a dispute broke out inside Quincy’s Bar & Grille around 2 a.m. Witnesses reported that the disagreement stemmed from a UFC fight being shown on the bar’s televisions.
After the argument, Njuki and a friend left the bar together and drove to the nearby Potomac Woods Plaza parking lot on Seven Locks Road. Detectives say Njuki stepped out of his vehicle when a suspect opened fire, striking Njuki and also firing at his companion.
